The class of 1999 Higher Secondary students of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math came together at the height of Covid-19 pandemic and founded the NGO Alokdhara Foundation in 2021, for the under-privileged students to achieve their academic ambitions.

Alokdhara Foundation started with scholarship for higher secondary and graduation students, later the sphere of activities encompassed various aspects of academic life that economically backward Indian students struggles with.

Free and quality education is the right of every child. Academic excellence can bring the much needed prosperity in families, suffering from difficult economic condition over generations.

With the advent of private academic institutes and coaching centers, access to quality education is becoming unequal in India. Alokdhara Foundation aims to provide all necessary support to the deserving students in pursuit of prosperous life by means of academic distinction.
